Century Theatres Union Heights

Stacey Construction was awarded the Century Theatres new theatre at the Union Heights Shopping Center in Sandy, Utah. The theatre is a 16 screen, 2,598-seat stadium theatre of approximately 52,000 square feet. We value our relationship with Century Theatres and look forward to working with them and completing another successful theatre project.

Highland Park Elementary

Salt Lake City School District selected Stacey Construction as the general contractor for the Highland Park Elementary School located at 1738 E. 2700 S. in Salt Lake City, Utah. This project consists of the demolition of the existing school and complete construction of the new 78,000 square foot elementary. We are excited to work with Salt Lake City School District and NJRA Architects. This school will be a great asset to the surrounding community.

Cinemark Layton Tinseltown Theater

Standard Examiner – Stacey Construction is the contractor on the Cinemark Tinseltwon Theaters in Layton. The project consists of connecting the two existing buildings and making one ticket office instead of the two currently in place. Stacey will also be doing some interior renovation work as well which includes the retrofit of two of the auditoriums from auditorium to stadium seating.

Weber School District Celebrates New Maintenance/Transportation Facility

The Maintenance/Bus Barn is open for business! Weber School District has made its move to the new maintenance facility. The new building, located at 2074 West 2100 South, West Haven City, houses offices, a school bus garage and parking lot for the district’s 60 maintenance vehicle and 150 school buses. Overseeing the project was Brian Smith, District Maintenance Supervisor, who state, “It’s definitely going to make it nicer for employees, students and visitors. This new complex will provide a great place for our workforce and a state-of-the-art facility to provide for greater staff productivity and effectiveness.” Fore more than 45 years, the District has housed its maintenance, warehouse, technical services and transportation facilities at 1415 Gibson Avenue in sometimes unpleasant, cramped accommodations. Since 1999 the District has been in negotiations with Fresenius Medical Care for acquisition of land for expansion of their facility. The Ogden City Redevelopment Agency approached the District in 2005 to negotiate a move to enable Fresenius Medical Care to acquire the 12.4 acre parcel owned by the District. An agreement was reached in November of 2006 to build a new facility and relocate the District Maintenance/Transportation Deparment at no cost to the District. Under the agreement, Ogden City would be the principal architect/constractor with approval from the District. The new facility was designed by Thair Blackburn and constructed by Stacey Construction The new location is 61,284 square feet, consisting of 49,800 square feet of shop and warehouse space; 10,394 square feet of office space; and 1,100 square feet for the vehicle wash bay. By consolidating functions into a centralized facility, Weber School District has increased operation efficiency tremendously, reduced outside costs, and has accomplished saving of staff time and fuel costs by housing all Weber School District operational supplies under one roof. With safety as a guiding principle in construction, the new facility will ensure that equipment is always operating safely on the roadways and that employees can perform truck inspections in a clean, well-lit environment. Mr. Smith sate, “We also wanted to build an environmentally friendly building that was a one-stop-shop for our fleet’s maintenance needs. We have more than met that goal and, in the process, provided amenities to help employees be as safe, relaxed and comfortable as possible while performing their important jobs.”
