May 21, 2005 we celebrated the Grand Opening of Century Theatres new theatre in Lakewood, Colorado. The project was a 16-screen stadium seating theatre and consisted of a 70,000 square foot tilt up structure. The project was a complete success and was able to open early for the showing of Shrek 2. Our sincere thanks go out to the entire project team that worked around the clock to help achieve this goal.
Tooele County School District selected Stacey Construction over seven other firms as the Construction Manager for the new 126,570 square foot Clarke N. Johnsen Junior High School. Construction of the project will begin September 2004 and is scheduled for completion in April 2006.
Fresenius Medical Care and Stacey Construction have teamed together again for the construction of an Electron Beam Sterilization Facility. SEI has been doing work for Fresenius Medical Care since 1994. This project is unique and challenging consisting of 15′ thick concrete walls, 11’6″ thick concrete ceiling using approximately 4,000 cubic yards of ready mix. This project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2005.

Governor Huntsman and Mayor Godfrey announced Thursday, March 17, 2005 that Adam Aircraft will lease 22,000 square feet at the Kemp Ogden Airport Gateway Building built by Stacey Construction. The Colorado-based company announced it will produce both its A500 twin-propeller and A700 AdamJet twin-jet aircraft at the Kemp Jet Services terminal. It is anticipated that the aircraft manufacturer will bring 430 new jobs to the Ogden area.
Stacey Construction was awarded the Century Theatres new theatre at the Union Heights Shopping Center in Sandy, Utah. The theatre is a 16 screen, 2,598-seat stadium theatre of approximately 52,000 square feet. We value our relationship with Century Theatres and look forward to working with them and completing another successful theatre project.
Salt Lake City School District selected Stacey Construction as the general contractor for the Highland Park Elementary School located at 1738 E. 2700 S. in Salt Lake City, Utah. This project consists of the demolition of the existing school and complete construction of the new 78,000 square foot elementary. We are excited to work with Salt Lake City School District and NJRA Architects. This school will be a great asset to the surrounding community.
Standard Examiner – Stacey Construction is the contractor on the Cinemark Tinseltwon Theaters in Layton. The project consists of connecting the two existing buildings and making one ticket office instead of the two currently in place. Stacey will also be doing some interior renovation work as well which includes the retrofit of two of the auditoriums from auditorium to stadium seating.
